Inventory Supervisor
Position Summary
Lead and coordinate the Warehouse team in daily inventory control functions. Analyze and monitor inventories to achieve company objectives.
Requirements
§ Leadership quality is a MUST.
§ Three to five years supervisory experience.
§ Intimate knowledge of warehouse/distribution/inventory procedures and practices.
§ ISO 9002 experience helpful.
§ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
§ Flexible work schedule to support multiple-shift operation.
Responsibilities
§ Proactively identify and pursue systems and procedural improvements to enhance error prevention.
§ Coordinate Finished Goods and Raw Material Warehouse functions providing service to other departments and achieving our inventory accuracy goals
§ Coordinate the Receiving function assuring material is received accurately in a timely manner.
§ Coordinate Stockroom function to assure the timely support of Planning and Production.
§ With assistance and guidance of Manager, supervises personnel in inventory and receiving areas.
§ Monitor quality of work being performed by staff.
§ Ensure proper internal methods and procedures are used, maintained and improved on a consistent basis.
§ Maintain training, employee attendance and department performance metrics as required.
§ Plan daily assignments and schedules in support of the inventory and receiving requirements, and communicate effectively to staff.
§ Organize and layout the Finished Goods and Raw Material Stockroom to optimize the utilization of space.
§ Interface with support departments in a timely fashion. Provide concise feedback to the Logistics Manager on key measurements. Notify management of variances or issues that impact the business in a timely manner.
§ Assists in general maintenance or cleanup of warehouse. In charge of housekeeping functions for inventory area ensuring all materials are put away, aisles remain unblocked at all times, and general housekeeping to ensure safety of staff.
§ Creates and executes cycle count program and oversees daily stock transfers.
§ Maintains location changes in stock item master.
§ Ability and willingness to operate forklift and order picking equipment as necessary.
§ Performs additional duties or assignments as directed by management.
